three nickels fund
Three Nickels is a missions fund-raising program to help people living and dying in extreme poverty throughout the world. The yearly goal is to have 100 families or individuals pledge to give at least $1 per week (3 nickels per day). In 2014, our Three Nickels money will be used to provide aid to Syrian refugees, help victims of Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines, and provide small business loans to families in northern Thailand.

with us Sundays. Casual attire is cool. Early Tessera service in Chapel @ 8:45 AM is "contemporary" flavored. 11 AM worship is in the main sanctuary. Open hearts and minds recommended. Sunday School @ 9:45 AM with classes for everyone.
who are we?
We are the only Baptist congregation in Greensboro that is welcoming and affirming of everyone who follows Jesus as Lord. So we accept gay and lesbian Christians as well as straight ones! Being radically inclusive is not our thing—our thing is radically following Jesus, or doing the best we can, and trying not to embarrass Jesus by our following. Some would call us liberal or moderate. We are an inclusive, fun faith community where persons from all walks of life feel comfortable worshiping and working together to bring Christ's love to the world.
We are not affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention. We are affiliated with the American Baptist Churches USA, Alliance of Baptists and Cooperative Baptist Fellowship. Read more.
Our periodic Bible Studies cover a wide range of topics. See our recent studies, including Homosexuality & the Bible.

spy wednesday & good friday
Our Holy Week services will be in the form of interactive prayer stations, creating a time and space for you to experience God in your life. Most of the stations will be sensory--in addition to or instead of using your sense of sight, you will use your sense of touch, smell, hearing, or taste to explore your faith at your own pace. The contemplative prayer stations will be offered at two different times in the church sanctuary:
- Wednesday, April 16, 6:30-7:30 pm
- Friday, April 18, 12 noon-3:00 pm. (drop in)
Experiencing all the prayer stations will probably take about 45 minutes.
