“Drowning the Old” (Acts 2:37-41; Rom. 6:1-11)

Reflection by Michael Usey

Worship at College Park

“Worship is important to this family. College Park has long practiced worship as a loving response to the gracious acts of God. In worship we are strengthened and shaped for being Christian in the world. Worship is the hub from which the spokes of our ministry emerge.” – Rev. Michael Usey

Worship at College Park looks a little different these days, but we are so glad that we have been able to remain in community with each other anyway! Currently we are sending out worship guides Sunday mornings and hosting sermon feedback times at 9am via zoom. If you want to take part, please email our office at collegeparkchurchgso@gmail.com. In addition, you can head over to our upcoming events and Sunday school pages to see all the ways we are remaining in community with each other during this time.

About College Park

Our church family in Greensboro welcomes and affirms all persons without distinction regarding race, ethnicity, national origin, class, sexual orientation, gender identity or any other category created by humans. Some would call us liberal or moderate. We are an inclusive, fun faith community where persons from all walks of life feel comfortable worshiping and working together to bring Christ’s love to the world, doing the best we can and trying not to embarrass Jesus too much. We are not affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention. We are affiliated with the American Baptist Churches USA, Alliance of Baptists and Cooperative Baptist Fellowship. Read more about us.

Staying Connected to Community During This Time Apart

During these difficult and challenging times, College Park Baptist Church seeks ways to continue providing opportunities for meaningful connection and worship. We are convinced that staying connected to God, and each other while we navigate this new normal is necessary for our overall heath and wellbeing. In order to facilitate these vital connections, College Park provides the following as a means to stay connected while staying at home:

A weekly worship guide that can be done at any time with individuals and the family.

A Sunday morning Coffee Hour at 9am that is a casual hangout and means to check in with one another.

A weekly Wednesday night zoom Bible Study at 6:30pm.

A bi-monthly zoom communion service on Thursday nights at 6:30pm.

These events and resources are available to members and nonmembers alike. We will post ways to connect to each of these on our Facebook page  (College Park Baptist Church) and here on our website. Should you choose to receive any of these by email, you can email the church at collegeparkchurchgso@gmail.com with your request.

Get our worship guides via email and join us for coffee hour at 9am on Sundays via Zoom (link in email).
