Rev. Amanda Owens was born and raised in North Myrtle Beach, SC. In 2007, she graduated from Mary Baldwin College and then went on to receive her Master of Divinity from Wake Forest University School of Divinity in 2011. Amanda has served as chaplain at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital and as Minister to Youth and Families at St. Francis Episcopal here in Greensboro. Amanda and her wife, Kayce, have a bright and spirited 2-yr-old daughter, Cooper, and will soon welcome their son, Tobias at the end of this month.

Rev. Pam Strader has recently taken a leave from West Market St. UMC after 22 years in order to care for her father, Hunter Strader, who has moved in with Pam and her husband Joe Wood. She still enjoys being a health and school advocate for Congolese refugee families and supporting the social justice ministries at West Market that include “Let’s Talk Race” and the Reconciling West Market advocacy for full inclusion of LGBTQ+ persons in the life and leadership of the United Methodist Church. She and Joe, a math teacher at Southwest Guilford, have three young adult children, Brian, Mary Helen, and god-daughter Fani Mwasiti.

Rev. Lesley-Ann Hix Tommey is CBF field personnel serving in New York
City. Partnering closely with Rauschenbusch Metro Ministries in the Hell’s
Kitchen neighborhood of Manhattan, Lesley-Ann coordinates safe support
communities for women who have experienced the dual-traumas of domestic violence and homelessness. She is a Greensboro native, a graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill and McAfee School of Theology, and a product of her first church home, College Park. Before being commissioned by CBF in 2017, Lesley-Ann worked as a minister to families, graphic designer, wedding photographer and intentional community minister. She loves taking photos, exploring NYC neighborhoods, practicing yoga and doing life with her husband, Blake.
