What is Baptism? Classes for 3rd-12th graders
We are offering baptism classes for our 3rd – 5th grade and 6th – 12th grade children and youth. In our time together, we will talk about the history of baptism, what it means to be baptized, the ways that water shows up in significant ways throughout our faith stories, and why baptism is an important step of our faith journey. These classes will take place March 6, 13, 20, 27, 11:30 am – 12:30 pm. If you have questions, please contact Kari Baumann or Lin Story-Bunce.
Friends! The Divinity School at WFU has several students who, as a class project, are offering free classes during the Lent and Easter seasons. Jasmine Logan is offering an opportunity for College Park to join her in a six week class entitled Neighborhood Chats. These classes will take place on Sunday afternoons, March 6 until April 24th, at 3 pm, and will focus on what it means to be a “good neighbor” and how does one defines “neighbor.” If you are interested, please contact Lin, firstname.lastname@example.org.
Easter Egg Hunt on April 10
We will be having our annual Easter egg hunt during Sunday school on Palm Sunday! The Children’s Committee would appreciate donations of wrapped candy for the hunt. Please bring your donations to the church by Friday, April 1st. The donation box is in the parking lot entrance of the church, or you can drop off candy with Kari Baumann or Lauren Grubbs-Shaney. If you would prefer to use Venmo to make a donation to help purchase candy, please mark your gift with “Easter Egg Hunt” in the memo!
Zumba: Monday Nights at 6 pm
Monday evenings at 6 pm in the fellowship hall, we will have an hour of laughing and dancing yourself into shape. The instructor, Ebonet at Rave Fitness, is phenomenal!! Staff Coffee Hours: Wednesdays, 11:30 am – 1:00 pm
We have started a tradition of hosting coffee hours at A Special Blend coffeehouse on Market St. It is a great way to see your CP Fam outside of Sunday service! We are there on Wednesdays, 11:30 am – 1:00 pm. Stop by, enjoy a treat, and spend some time with us!
